I've read TKAM, 1984, Pride & Prejudice, and The Diary of Anne Frank. My mom used to entertain us on car trips by telling us the plots of famous books, which - of course - made me want to read them for myself. She also introduced us to Rebecca, Great Expectations, Animal Farm, some of Edgar Allen Poe and Shirley Jackson's stories, and many others. It was a very sneaky way to get us to read, don't you think?
